and fun ... and creative ...
... and adorable ... and gracious ...
and daring ... and adventuresome ...
and she's gonna be an amazing Mom to a lucky little girl named Wells!
I feel incredibly blessed to have Callie in my life. And when I'm around her, I forget that I've not known her my whole life ... and that I'm quite a few years older ... and mostly I just want to be her when I grow up ...
Why, you might wonder?
Because she is one of the most gracious people I know. I have seen her give to people ... not just stuff or money, but the benefit of the doubt, her trust, and her confidence.
She's also incredibly FUN!! I love laughing with her ... and she is fearless. Over the last five years we've had conversations about her quitting college to pursue photography, moving up her wedding (to perhaps my favorite boy. ever), moving across the US with her Navy man, this brilliant idea of the Not Wedding, getting a tattoo ... and yep, her Mom is still my friend after all of these conversations!
Callie loves people and loves them so well. She truly pushes me to be a better person. She also tries to make me "badass" ... but a BETTER badass! :0)
Callie exudes peace. She extends love. She takes risks. She makes the world around her better.
SOOOOOO ... while she was in Atlanta (from her home in CA) ... we were able to celebrate Callie and Wells and it was so much fun!
Callie comes by her creativity naturally ... she has an amazingly gifted Mom who made her nursery bedding ... yep, that's her up above with Callie! Cute, huh?? And she has a super cutesy, creative MIL who came up with the idea to paint onesies ... and hosted the shower at her place.
and of course, she has super creative friends and family who contributed to the art show!
She also has a sister-in-law to be (we think!) who is handy with a knife and made this amazing creative watermelon baby buggy that I will so be using some day and claiming as my own!
and because I'm still into 6 layer cakes. This is my contribution ...
it's not chocolate ... but fun!
and what party is complete without oreo pops.
have I mentioned that I LOVE, LOVE throwing parties? And all the more fun when there is someone so special to celebrate! Can't wait for Wells to come out and play. Callie will be the best Mom!

Oh my goodness... so much creativity I can barely stand still. What should I do first? Look up the recipe for those oreo pops? Rush to Michael's for cake decorating lessons, or just buy a plane ticket to Atlanta???
