Why so different??

Hmmmmm ... still reading Radical.  And this is the simple phrase that stopped me today. Because I kind of thought the point of discpleship was that we are coming to look, and think and act more like HIM.  And the more I read of scripture, compare it with what I do and how we live, the more I see how far from His example we've come.  His plan for reaching the world was centered in 12 men that He walked alongside each day ... they weren't perfect and Lord knows they weren't even that educated ... but He stayed the course with them ... entrusting them with His mission when He was gone ... just as He's done us.  But, I'm kind of afraid HIS mission has come to look more like OUR project than His plan.  We've tried to make it more about US and what we like and what will bring people in than about HIM and who HE is.    So, how do we get back to HIS glory, HIS way and looking a little more like HIM?
