blessings ...

These last two weeks have been ROUGH!  This morning as I sat down with my journal to write a few things on my thankful list, I just stopped and wrote, God, I need you to show me what I have to be thankful for today ... and I added a few things to my list and went on to pray and read in my Brennan Manning study and went on with my day ...

which was much better than the last (I mean, it doesn't take much to come back from throwing up on yourself in the car on the way to a meeting that did NOT go well).  And as I drove back from having lunch with someone I love to hang out with, I pulled into the parking lot to see a familiar truck, with a sweet friend ... the same friend who had texted me earlier saying What is your favorite kind of cake ... And there she was with a card that made me cry, a piece of cake from one of the best restaurants in Athens, and a HUGE diet coke. 

And then, since we talked about blessings in Mexico, one of my sweet girls posted this to my facebook wall ...
it's just like what we talked about on the missions trip--finding all the joys God has blessed us with each day! thought I would share with you!

And my list of blessings grew by a few today!  And my heart was comforted by the God who knows my needs and answers by prayers!
