20 down. 160 is forever. And when do we have another day out? Oh yeh, November.
If you guessed the crickets chirping here last week was because it was nuts. Well ... relentless might be more like it.
But, it was good. It was just busy. Test #3 this week. Hopefully we will turn the corner and it will NOT make me want to quit. Last test, grades were either awesome of pitiful. I thought for about 24 hours that I had done something wrong in trying to teach them. THEN, I asked them to write down how long/what they studied. The answers of the "failers" was 0-30 minutes. Well, there you have it. You cannot study 0-30 minutes and pass biology. "Who knew?" they said. Let's hope they are convinced that's a bad idea. Cause my mercy (what little I had to begin with) is running out.
Here's the week in pictures. Thanks to my Mom for coming to the rescue and bagging candy "organelles!"
A Dad gave this to me at Open House as a token of appreciation for teaching his daughter. He said he was inspired on K-LOVE (the Christian radio station) to give an unconditional gift.
I think I care more if they succeed than they do ... most days. Sad, really.
the to do list that's never done ...
I DO have some amazing students. This is the project one of them turned in this week.
I wanted to frame it!!
and Friday the students who were NOT retaking test #2 made edible cells out of cupcakes.
