Here comes the sun ...

There are three things for which I will willingly get up early: fishing, roadtrips, and sunrises on the beach.  I've set my alarm for presunrise ALL week ... and finally got my butt up today with the promise that I could go back to sleep ... yeh, right!  Now, I am wishing I had enjoyed that sweet spot all week.  I MIGHT have even gotten in a run or two if I had!

Just so you know ... there are quite a few people up on the beach that time of day: the coffee drinkers/sunrise watchers, the yoga queens, the dog walkers, runners, surfers.  I was quite surprised.  I was kind of expecting a deserted beach, but instead I had to wait for people to move out of my frame to get pics!  Confessions of a non-morning person!!

My name will be great among the nations, from the rising to the setting of the sun.
Malachi 1:11

From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be praised.
Psalm 113:3

Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth."
Hosea 6:3

This is what the LORD says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the LORD Almighty is his name:
Jeremiah 31:35

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.
Psalm 84:11

The day is yours, and yours also the night; you established the sun and moon.
Psalm 74:16

His glory covered the heavens
and his praise filled the earth.
His splendor was like the sunrise;
rays flashed from his hand,
where his power was hidden.
Habakkuk 3:3-4

He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
Psalm 37:6

The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.
Isaiah 60:19
