Yesterday I had the privilege of hosting a birthday party for my sweet friend, Callie. I had never gotten to do that before because somehow, even if it was her birthday, she was the one hosting the party. Just a few family and close friends gathered at her amazing house in Augusta ... all decked out for Christmas and we had a ton of fun celebrating Callie. She is such a good friend to so many, generous with all she has, creative, amazingly gifted photographer, crafter, artist, loves Jesus, loves people, is a wonderful wife and mom, sister and daughter. I could go on and on ... and on ...
So, my give for yesterday was a joy ... and I loved getting to find little ways to celebrate all that is Callie with things like this:
a Callie tree where we were able to write things we love about Callie
a s'mores bar! Callie and David are HUGE s'mores fans and I had been wanting to do one of these for months!
There was barbeque, potato casserole, amazing green beans, the best mac and cheese that has ever hit my lips and more dessert than 20 people could even consume. There was laughter and fire pit convos and a ballgame to watch ... along with the world's most adorable one-year-old! It was a fun night.
And ... today, I brought a leftover s'mores cupcake to my favorite baker-friend. I teased her with a picture and shared one with her today at church. It's the little things.
