Great Giveaway

Ahhhhh ... some days are just like this, huh?  So much good ... so much frustrating!!  :-)

I started the day in Winder ... packed up and headed back to Augusta for my LAST WEEK in the garage apartment, praise Jesus!

Got about 15 miles from Augusta and discovered that I had, in fact, left my makeup case (which included by contact case and glasses) on the side of the tub ... IN WINDER!  Seriously ... so now, I have a cheap backup set of makeup ... but no glasses :-(

Went to Wal-Mart and Sam's ... quickly filling my recently cleaned out car all back to the hilt.  Have I mentioned how much I HATE carting junk around all the time?  Story of my life.  Right now there is a cooler, two pump pots, 5 boxes (read Sam's sized) of granola bars, 5 boxes of rice crispy treats, a box of Christmas gifts, a 12 pack of DC, two sacks of cups and plates, a rain coat, peacoat, 5 books on tape ... well, you get it ... probably a small village hidden in there, but no makeup!!

Got to the office, sorted and wrapped the gifts we bought Thursday night ... cause my office is ALMOST as bad as my car!

Had a ton of fun when two of my favorite students stopped by with chocolate for me and stayed to hang out!

Finally headed to ASU to make pancakes for our Flapjacks and Finals.  I could say that I "gave" 500 pancakes ... but what I gave today was not so tangible.  What I gave today was kindness to people who had been less than kind to me.  I would LOVE to say that I am not a grudge holder, but that would not be true.  And I don't have a lot of patience for people who I feel like judge unfairly or treat me unfairly.  I am used to my college kids ... and most days, I LOVE working with them.  Tonight was no exception ... they amaze me at the big and little ways in which they serve!  It's easy to love people like that.  It's the "adults" who get me!!  Tonight I got to exercise kindness to people not as easy to love.  I prayed for something to stretch me and I'm thankful that God gave me a chance to remember the 2nd and 3rd ... chances He extends to us.  Plus, it's amazing what you'll find when you give a little kindness!  :-)
