I saved this quote from Ann Voskamp's blog last week, fully intending to write more about it.
Then life happened. That just keeps happening. Gavin ended up back in the ER and in the hospital for five days. I drove west to Carrollton for summer missions interviews ... I spent the past four nights sleeping some place other than EITHER one of my beds ... and I am truly not sure what day it is anymore!
Ever have one of those
In the midst of that, I am leaning into these words and seeking to abandon the things that are bringing a rise to the blood pressure and stress and looking to abide in the One who is in control of even this. We have a choice. I am reminding myself of that moment by moment right now. I can choose to sink into the stress or I can choose to abandon the worries, and I choose to abide in the truth of the One who saved me or I can choose to attempt to control the things that are happening around me ... I can choose ...
