Why do I freak out?
God knows what I need, You know what I need...
Two things you've told me, that you are strong and you love me... Yes you love me"
These words are playing in my heart today. This might be the start of the craziest month of my life.
Monday, I officially start my new job as campus minister at ASU/GHSU ... in Augusta.
BUT, I still have a house here in Winder that I am working to get ready to sell (wanna see the house to-do list?? Didn't think so!) And I have no place to live in Augusta. So, for now, I will be in Augusta 3 days a week (at a hotel) and in Winder four days a week working on getting the house list ready.
I keep trying to NOT panic. Afterall, this is just week #1 ... but before long, week #1 will be week #4 and I will need a temporary place to live in Augusta ... and to have this house on the market ... and it will be August and school will be starting ... and ... then I might be a little panicked.
Yesterday I had two people randomly ask about my house ... people who are looking to buy. Now, I don't think they will necessarily buy it ... but what a good reminder to know that God is bigger than the craziness I feel like I am about to live in. He hasn't forgotten all the pieces to the puzzle that makes up my life. And He CAN sell my house before it's even listed, and He can find me some awesome temporary housing in Augusta, ... but to borrow from some friends who were about to go into the fire, our God is able, but even if He doesn't, not gonna bow to fear and doubt. Not today at least.
