“When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long
and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.”
-Alexander Graham Bell
I've been doing this. Looking at the closed door ... instead of seeing the beauty of the one open right in front of my eyes. Imagine, what we are missing when we stare at the wood of the door instead of the unknown possibility inside. I know I've had tons of crazy stuff going on the last few months and I know that has colored my perceptions, enthusiasm, and expectations. Living in limbo hasn't been as much fun as I had envisioned ... and I still wake up fo hours at a time running what if scenarios in my mind, finally dragging myself out of bed exhausted in the morning.
So, today I want to choose to see the beauty and the blessing of the door open wide in front of me instead of hanging on to the one closed behind me. This was my fourth day ... fourth day in Augusta. Seems like it's been an eternity and it's been FOUR days. And it was a good day ... a God day ...one where I saw more the potential and more of the blessing. And today, I have found many gifts to count ...
