This might have been the longest week of my life. I am sleep 4 hours in a tent in a hurricane, run a marathon, mission trip, youth lock-in TIRED.
Let the whining commence ... part of the problem is that I have to study, not only to teach but to refresh my mind on the info .... AND I have one regular class with my Pre-APs and they just can't do the same work, so I am doing double lesson plans ... and some days I cannot remember my name, let alone where each class left off. AND, teaching is just exhausting. I knew that. And I thought, maybe, after 10 years running the sprint of campus ministry, it might not be so bad. But it IS! I am not encouraged that teachers who've been in the classroom as long as I've been alive are tired, too ... relieved, but not encouraged! :-)
This week has had its ups and downs. I was disappointed in test scores. And I was excited about learning names. I was thrilled to see students so excited about what we are doing that they were taking pictures of our experiments and thankful for some real life conversations ... and I was frustrated at the utter lack of ability to listen. I was thrilled to have the first week behind me and frustrated that they were STILL moving students around (even yesteday!) Did I mention I had a girl in labor yesterday?? Yep! It's been eventful!
I am about to lay on my couch,
Here is days 6-10 in pictures. At least science can be photogenic!!
pretty sure that plant's had no water since school started!!
BTW, I HATE lunch duty! Longest days ever!
too much fun today for just one picture. Water lab ...
