teetering ...

So, just got home from tonight's after Gathering festivities ... this week, Fear Factor ... one of our most fun summer missions fundraisers.  Unfortunately, tonight UGA played Xavier in basketball and THIS year, UGA is actually playing basketball, so our crowd was a little slim.  This dynamic caused one of my guys to ask, What do you think are the odds that I'll be bobbing for spam??  You see, in order to play this little game of ours, we collect money and each new goal brings on a new fear factor challenge.  In order for Slade and Harris to have to bob in icewater for spam required donations equal $1300.  He was thinking that a little unlikely.

However, I know how we count money ... and really, we just try to keep the competition going and money flowing ... so whether we made it to an actual $1300 or not, we're gonna make them think we did to keep donations going up til the finale.

But these are facts that Slade didn't know.  So HIS response to me was Well, you've got quite a bit of faith in God there ... yep, quite a bit of faith lately.

Why YES, Slade, I do.  Although I teeter between fear and faith.  Though flights to Cancun are now $800 and though I don't have any other good options and although we have a long stretch of ministry stuff the next few weeks without a break and in the midst of missions interviews, sex trafficking awareness, dinner theater and two spring break mission trips we are completely redesigning how BCM looks ... well, yes, Slade, I've got some confidence in God ... cause there's nothing about this I can do ... except maybe go to bed for tonight!
