awe.

God is awed by His own creation. He said it was good. very good. I mean, y'all ... He made THAT ...

Maybe this is why we feel so spiritual when we see Him in His creation ... in snow-capped mountains, flowers blooming, leaves changing, waves crashing.

That is one of the places I feel closest to God, in the midst of His creation!  I've enjoyed some beautiful, sunny, warm walks/runs the last week (even mowed grass this weekend!) in the unseasonable warm January we are having!

And in those rays of sun, those sunrises on the ride to Augusta, those afternoon walks along the Savannah River, I love talking to its Creator.

Mark Batterson says this is one of the ways we love God with our SOUL.
Loving God with all our soul means a soul full of wonder, a soul flooded with the glory of God, a soul awed by beauty and mystery, a soul that hallows God above all else.

Elisabeth Barrett Browning put it this way ...
Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
But only he who sees, takes off his shoes,
The rest sit round it, and pluck blackberries.

Gonna enjoy our Creator God this week.   Gonna marvel at His beauty.  Gonna weep at His majesty.  Gonna celebrate His creativity.
