Today. I'm thankful to be home to celebrate my MOM!!
I am incredibly grateful for the seasons of ministry life God gave me ... but it means that I've missed lots of occasions over the past 15 years. Today, I am thankful for God's gift of family. I couldn't be more thankful for this Mom ... or more proud to be considered so much like her (except that she is sooooo much nicer than me!) I love being able to shop with her, craft with her, garden with her ... and just enjoy dinners and parties together. Honestly, it's just nice to do everyday life with her. I think she's pretty awesome!
I'm thankful, too, for the family of friends God blessed me with in those seasons I was away from my own ... those who invited me to family dinner and celebrated my birthday with me. Those who were there when I needed help and those who stepped in, in such sweet ways, to give me a TX family and a GA family.
So, today, I am thankful for God's gift of family ... that His plan was for us to be part of something bigger than ourselves and for blessing of being adopted into His family.
