It's been a long week. It's been a crazy busy week. It was the first "real" week of the semester and we were behind. There have been lots of needs to pray for and lots of people to love on. There were lots of stories to listen to in missions interviews. And mostly, GOD was BIG ... I mean HUGE. I mean, I don't know why it surprises me, but at every juncture and every obstacle He more than provided. MORE. MUCHO. HUGE!
God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.
Eph 3:20 (Msg)
What are some things He provided?
- speakers for next week's men's and women's worship nights
- the right times on Bible study sign ups
- a location for girl's retreat
- good planning meetings
- we suggeseted someone share a testimony in Gathering to find out they had already asked
- speakers for Monday's Faith in Practice and
- lining up someone we wanted for February FIP, too
I mean EVERYTHING God just did. And He just didn't do it. He did it well. I cannot wait to see what He has in store!!
So, tonight, I am creating. My sweet little cajun family has had a horrible week. And you know, when you don't know what to do ... COOK! So, I am making King Cakes ... cream cheese and cinnamon pecan. And I hope they are yummy and I hope it makes them smile!! I am not sure why in the world I think I can cook cajun for folks who live(d) there ... but it's sure fun to try!!
and I've been making some cutesy decor for our IMAGE night this week. I might be super excited about the vision God has given Laura and the fact that my awesome friend, Callie, is willing to share how God has taught her to walk in freedom. She MIGHT even have our theme verse tattooed on her back. Maybe ... Yet another way God provided above and beyond this week. Laura spent her snow days cutting out some uber-cute birds that we are using and it's inspired me to make these ...
