I've been waiting for this one since I started. I LOVE, LOVE the name "Immanuel" because it is so rich in meaning. Meaning that changed everything about how we see and relate to God.
“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”). Matthew 1:23
All throughout the Old Testament, God had been "with" them, in a cloud or a fire, in a temple or a victory. But now, the Messiah had come and He IS God WITH us ... God IN us ... living out THROUGH us. The incarnation, wrapping His very life into our life. AHHHHHHHHHHH ... it changes everything. How am I letting the God IN me live out THROUGH me today?
