S is for ...

SAVIOR.

We had our annual Christmas lunch this week at work ... it's kind of a big deal ... well, kind of ... more kind of like a senior adult banquet circa 1980.  This year's enterntainment was a pair of clowns ... yep, you heard that right.  And they TRIED to tie the Christmas and Easter stories as I wrinkled my brow at their attempts.  But this morning as I sit to think of our SAVIOR being born on Christmas, I think we can never look at the baby without seeing the cross.  God never looked at His life without seeing the cross.
"She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”   Mt. 1:21

To break the chains
Of guilt and sin
To find us here
To pull us in
So we can join in Heaven's song
And with one voice around the throne
From BeBo Norman's "Born to Die"
